2400 foam nodes for user envelopment

A 2-inch castellated CMHR foam provides the lying surface of the Opera® Synergy. The surface is formed from a grid of 2400 individually semi-rounded nodes that envelop the user, resulting in advanced pressure relief and superior comfort.

Self-adjusting cell technology

The Opera® Synergy uses a self-adjusting air cell technology that responds to user body movement to effectively redistribute pressure exerted on the mattress. The cells use exposed air valves to naturally inhale and exhale air from the mattress body.

Heel zone pressure relief

The Opera® Synergy is tapered down at the foot end of the mattress. This results in the user's thighs taking most of their leg weight, spreading the pressure over a greater area of skin and reducing pressure and shear on the vulnerable heel skin.

Antimicrobial and Dust mite cover technology

The wipe clean cover is impregnated with antimicrobial agents ensuring the mattress covers are resistant to bacterial growth including MRSA, fungal growth and house dust mite.

Vapour-permeability ensures reduced risk of moisture lesions

The Opera® Depend offers high levels of comfort through a premium layered foam construction. Hinged profiling means the foam doesn't require any castellations, thereby providing a smooth lying surface for additional comfort. The mattress is suitable for users at high to very high risk of developing pressure ulcers.

Audit box with white substrate material

With the high importance of mattress audits highlighted by the CQC in 20093, Opera® mattresses have an audit box printed onto the cover to assist care operators in carrying out the recommended annual audits. White substrate material on the inside of the cover also helps operators identify any moisture breaches.
